Support & sponsorship

Keep QF Solver open. Help it grow.

QF Solver is free and open source. Sponsorship helps make its engineering work and evidence more sustainable.

GitHub Sponsors application pending approval

Support can start at €1 per month.

The GitHub Sponsors application for emptiesvoid-cloud is under review. The profile is visible, but recurring contributions may not be available until GitHub approves the application.

Funding priorities below show how capacity could grow. No contribution buys a validation outcome, a feature guarantee or a delivery date.

Why I build QF Solver

An open-source solver you can inspect.

I’m a mechanical engineer building QF Solver as a white-box project. I want users to be able to trace a result back through the formulation, the implementation and the evidence—not just receive a number.

For each capability, my aim is to document the development steps, equations and assumptions, relevant code excerpts, verification results, and any gaps that remain. That detail should help engineers, students and engineering teams spend less time reconstructing how a solver works and more time judging whether a route is reliable for their own model and within its demonstrated limits.

This is a goal of transparency, not a claim that every route is validated. Case-specific engineering review still matters; experimental and research routes remain clearly identified.

01 / FormulationEquations & assumptions

The model and physical assumptions behind a capability.

02 / ImplementationSteps & code excerpts

How the formulation is translated into solver code.

03 / VerificationTests & evidence

Recorded checks, comparisons and regression results.

04 / BoundariesGaps & limits

What remains experimental, incomplete or outside scope.

How support helps

Build the foundation, then broaden the work.

Funding priorities grow progressively. Support is used to improve the project and its evidence, not to sell guaranteed engineering outcomes.

01

Keep the project running

Reliable CI, test infrastructure, package releases, documentation hosting, and the tools needed to maintain an open-source solver.

02

Strengthen verification & validation

More reference cases, independently comparable results, regression coverage, and clearer evidence for each engineering route.

03

Accelerate development

Make room for focused implementation, review, and documentation work while keeping the project’s scope evidence-led.

04

Welcome more contributors

Support contributor onboarding, code review, and paid specialist work as the funding base grows.

€5,000/ month
Sustained funding goal

Professional development capacity

At sustained funding of €5,000 per month, the project could assess a more professional development budget and increase paid contributor capacity. This is a funding goal, not a promise of a hiring date, delivery schedule, or full-time availability.

Strategic Sponsor · €1,000/month and above

Propose a priority. Keep the project independent.

Strategic sponsors can propose areas of priority through the project’s public issue tracker. Their input can influence what is investigated, but it does not guarantee a feature, a technical approach, or a delivery date. The maintainer keeps technical decision-making authority, and QF Solver remains fully open source.

Propose a project priority on GitHub

QF Solver remains fully open source. The maintainer retains technical decisions, and sponsorship does not guarantee a feature or delivery date.
