# Compatibility matrix

Methods shown in a cell are the methods accepted for that family/analysis intersection. The gallery case count covers only the standard Gmsh importer path.

## Gmsh/import boundary

The runtime importer accepts `MITC3, MITC4, TET10, TET4`. MITC3 is accepted by the source code even though the accompanying import guide lists only TET4/TET10/MITC4.
BEAM2 is a registered solver element but is excluded from the Gmsh importer's supported-family set. SPRING_MASS and CONTACT are discrete entities, not `ElementRegistry` families; their physical entities are not mapped by the standard Gmsh importer. No family was substituted.
The large-model backend is a separate experimental TET4 linear-static route; it is not part of the standard Gmsh gallery.

## Runtime maturity

Maturity values are copied from the imported model's runtime qualification registry. `research` and `experimental` are not validation claims. The current generated documentation uses a newer qualification vocabulary than the local 0.2.0a0 source archive; the run-time result value is retained per case and the discrepancy is called out in the README.

Additional pair-by-pair reasons and status flags are in `coverage_matrix.csv`.
